David Denby New York Magazine/Vulture Random spoofers, easily distracted, ZAZ are too devoted to silliness to mount even a sustained parody of movies. Jul 24, 2025 Full Review Sebastian Zavala Kahn Me gusta el cine It may not be the best of the three (for me), but even after thirty-seven years (!), the first “Naked Gun” is still a memorable and frequently funny comedy, which only begins to fall apart during its third act. It’s an onslaught of comedy, and though some jokes are misses, the batting average is high. Cecil D Great job on the remake Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/03/25 Full Review chris m hilariously absurd. 'the naked gun' is, above all, a triumph of absurd comedy, a narrative exercise that, beneath its light appearance, hides a meticulous precision in every gag, every gesture, and every line of dialogue. what in other hands could have been a mere parade of disconnected jokes, in david zucker’s becomes a perfectly tuned comic machine. leslie nielsen, outstanding in his role, proves here that he is one of the greatest performers in modern comedy. his ability to provoke laughter with nothing but the seriousness of his face, with the way he inhabits each ridiculous situation as if it were the most natural thing in the world, makes him the absolute center of a story where every detail is designed to subvert the ordinary and turn it into laughter. the script, brilliant in its use of double meanings and in the construction of dialogues that shift between the innocent and the outrageous, strengthens a story that, while mainly an excuse for the succession of absurdities, manages to hold up as a solid narrative frame. the supporting characters, crafted with personalities tailored for parody, complete a universe that, far from chaotic, is carefully orchestrated so that every moment finds its place. with a setting that mocks the clichés of police cinema and a direction unafraid of pushing exaggeration to the extreme, zucker once again proves his mastery of the genre, laying the foundations for a style of comedy that would later influence franchises like 'scary movie'. ultimately, 'the naked gun' is not just a film to laugh at, but a masterclass in how absurd humor, when done with wit and rigor, can become a timeless classic of comedy. spanish: desternillantemente absurda. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/18/25 Full Review Marce S A fun classic that you can watch over and over again and still laugh Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/13/25 Full Review Waki W This film was worth watching! It was fun movie and especially the car chase that was good! It was fun. Some parts were cliche. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/02/25 Full Review Bucas L. Honestly I didn’t love the movie and didn’t find it to funny myself because I enjoy different types of humor not the goofy kind this is. But I gave it 3 stars anyways because I think it would be a great movie for an audience with a type of humor accustom to a movie like this. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/26/25 Full Review Dani G Leslie Nielsen made an art of acting in this type of movies. Silly as hell, but in that time it was the funniest thing. Now, at least you can have some laughs. Better than many comedies of this era Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/25/25 Full Review Read all reviews
