This is a very good film if you know Einstein's work on relativity, or Carl Sagan's 1980s TV programs. This film may turn out to be prophetic if Elon Musk has his way. Science fiction is in your blood, if you have any interest in the universe. The first two Alien films; Star Trek; Star Wars, etc. have made science a lot of fun while scaring us. Fact: if you travel near the speed of light, you will not age. What if the love of your life left on a 10 year trip to another solar system and came back? You would have aged, but they would literally be 20 years younger than you. The Time Capsule is well acted and well made.

While the premise is an interesting one the execution is not great. Not even close. It comes out at a stuttering pace and is predictable to boot. This equals boring.

While it has a good concept, & there is a quite intimacy and grace to the storytelling, The Time Capsule ultimately falters, focusing on a character we're seen too often, & not spending enough time on the far more interesting character and her story.
