acsdoug D Well, that didn't age well. I guess audiences were so starved for T & A on film that they would sit through an entire movie with no real dialogue or story just to see some boobs. Sure, there are some nice boobs here, but if that's what you want just get on the internet, no need to waste your time with this. I don't know, maybe if they had spent more than five bucks making this alleged progenitor of the "sex and slasher" genre I could appreciate its historical significance. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/04/24 Full Review Audience Member The first and BEST installment of the "flesh" trilogy by the Findlays. The start of roughies.....sooooo great!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Husband and wife Michael (producer/director/editor/actor) and Roberta (producer/cinematographer/actor) Findlay made some of the most artful and depraved sex films of the 60s. This one, which was followed by two sequels, is about the deeds of Richard Jennings (Michael), evil one-eyed misogynist. The Findlays were true auteurs, exploring private obsessions through bizarre dialog/narration and Roberta's highly idiosyncratic camera work. They specialized in imaginative, sometimes quite poetic murder sequences involving unlikely implements. In 1977, Michael's life came to a fitting conclusion: he was killed by a detached helicopter blade whilst on his way to demonstrate a 3-D camera that he had invented. Roberta continued to direct horror and porno films, some of which are pretty good, until the 90s. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member The Flesh Trilogy is certainly the Findlays' craziest, filthiest effort, which is saying a lot, considering their entire repertoire! Jennings' insane rantings, art film aims, creative - and tasteless - weapons, extreme levels of misogyny, periodic - and questionabally intentional - surrealism, and fantastic music add up to some bizarre viewing, indeed. CURSE... is my favorite, partially because of the lengthy scenes of the MOST INCREDIBLE STRIPPER EVER TO EXIST, the fabulous Cindy Freemont!
