DanTheMan 2
Rather than offering a retread of the original film as the first sequel did, A Moment of Romance III goes in an entirely different direction. Don't expect motorcycles racing down the streets of Hong Kong, Taking the basic set-up of the first and transplanting it into a romantic period piece under the cover of a Spielbergian visual aesthetic. Despite the overly hackneyed set-up, the film proves to be decent fluff, jettisoning director Benny Chan in favour of the series' producer, Johnnie To who provides the film with plenty of lavish production values. While the script and story may be pretty generic, To makes the best of it and provides some nice war action and plenty of tear-jerking drama. Although he's seemingly set in brooding mode for most of the runtime, bringing back star Andy Lau was a great move as the chemistry between him and the returning Wu Chien-Lien, also on top form throughout, is undeniable. Eventually, everything gives way to your standard "choice of love" type deal with one of our two parties running to a romantic reunion. Ultimately A Moment of Romance III is extremely sappy but anyone chasing pretty stars and heart-wrenching pathos will not be disappointed, it's certainly a more worthwhile time investment than II.

Just like linking-up series of shots & scenes together, without any in-depth plot development nor interaction between the 2 leads.

It is nice to see Andy Lau and Chien-Lien Wu together again, but this period piece love story lacks conflict. Not much happens, even though they did have me second guessing the fates of the characters. I had to watch it for Andy Lau, and because it was directed by Johnnie To.

Coming to the third series and also the final series of A Moment Of Romance,Andy Lau is back while Director Benny Chan was replaced by Director Johnnie To.The final series is not the best yet it has a good ending and still enjoyable. In the third series, it's romance genre mixed with World War one or two(I'm not sure). So,it still can be a recommendation for romance movie's friends but don't expect there is many explosion scenes like Pearl Harbor.A Moment of Romance 3 is more about the love relationship between the two main characters.:)

Aided by a heavy budget Johnnie To transforms the original AMOR-concept into a war-themed historical drama. But epic proportions and great panorama shots aside, the melodrama just falls predictably flat when Andy Lau ends up killing the baddies and getting the girl instead of lying bleeding on the pavement when bad karma finally catches up. Although technically almost close to a masterpiece, A Moment Of Romance 3 is closer to a failure emotionally.
