POL P This movie was so bad it inspired me to get an account on here. The action scenes aren't particularly flashy, the romance part comes out of nowhere. Their are several gaping plot holes. Wouldn't recommend. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/24 Full Review Sam C I didn't manage to finish this film. I'm giving it a one out of respect for Jason Statham. The editing is in this is horrendous. The story is…. What is the story? Valentina is an annoying, poorly written, and poorly written character. Makes the character of Lai in the first film look like a Meryl Streep performance. Really disappointing as I quite enjoyed the first two. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/01/24 Full Review Audience Member 15 years later and this is a decent action flick Director Olivier Megaton helms the third entry in the franchise starring Jason Statham Frank Martin is back; he lives the same as he always has being a professional driver Things change though when an associate of his crashes into his home, a young girl is in the back seat, and the associate dies in an explosion in an ambulance Enter Robert Knepper as Johnson secretly moonlighting as an advocate for environmental protection but in truth he's scheming to hold Minister Leonid's daughter for ransom Unless he signs over all power to Ecocorp letting ships transport deadly chemicals Johnson will hold his daughter captive Frank is then hired against his will by Johnson to deliver the girl named Valentina; but there's a catch A special weaponized bracelet is locked to his wrist full of explosive chemicals If Frank steps more than 75 feet away from the car it'll kill him and Valentina This is more of an inverse of the original film; there's a love story again but the difference is that Frank is racing for his life literally The writers also insert some more environmental elements Some good action scenes, the villain is really cool cause he does have some depth, exotic European locations, a sizzling femme fatale, and the plot isn't too hard to follow This will please a lot of the female viewers seeing that Statham does get shirtless a lot doing his fighting scenes Yes there's a lot of jagged editing and fast sped up moments but its purpose is to entertain delivering that kinetic energy We also see more of Frank's sensitive side here The first film was a sleeper hit, the second one was stupid for sure but this one is a mindless actionier required to turn your brain off for its enjoyment Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/27/23 Full Review Joseph R ABout as bad a stupid as they come. You can tell a movie is going south and that the director and writers have no way to save it when they toss in sex. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/28/23 Full Review Diana M My favorite Transporter Frank Martin is back. Frank has left Miami and returned to his home in the French Riviera. While Frank and his friend Inspector Tarconi are fishing, Tarconi gets a call that a madman driving a black Audi A8 at impossible speeds, has gotten past French customs. "Don't look at me." - Frank Later that night that very Audi crashes into Frank's living room. The driver has been shot. Turns out the guy is Frank's replacement for a Transporter job in Marseilles that he turned down. As the ambulance is taking the driver away Frank discovers a young woman in the back seat. But she will not get out of the car. She shows him a metal bracelet that she and the driver are wearing.... the bracelet will explode if it gets 75 feet from the car. The ambulance explodes killing the other Transporter. Thugs show up and take Frank and the girl to the boss man, Johnson. He forces Frank to "reconsider" the job. With an exploding bracelet locked on his wrist, Frank has no choice but to transport the package.... But this time the rules have changed. "Don't think of this as just another job, think of this as a mission" - Frank The package - in the trunk. The Destination - Odessa. Directions will be given as he goes... And a passenger, the girl, (Valentina) the daughter of a powerful politician. "On one condition, I drive my own car." - Frank And that is one cool car... A black 2008 Audi A8 6.0 W12. A sweet slick armored customized supercar! "Take care of the car, the car will take care of you." - Frank So now Frank is on a job not of his own choosing, driving to a unknown destination with a young woman, and a trunk full of who knows what. So what is really going on and how does Frank get out of this mess? Wow! Once again Jason Statham is Awesome as the stylish Transporter. And he makes Luc Besson's third story work... again. This one is just a very entertaining, fast paced, high speed popcorn fun flick. Jason Statham is the Man! He is the Transporter! Cast - Jason Statham, François Berléand, Natalya Rudakova, Robert Knepper Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/29/23 Full Review Petros T Arguably the franchise's strongest film - but that's not saying much. Knepper, unlike Rudakova, has some good moments, while Statham and Berléand reprise their roles on autopilot. The action is quite engaging, especially the car chases, and the gimmick driving the plot serves its purpose, however the story is made to seem a lot more complicated than it is, the dialogues are often nauseatingly cringy, and the female lead is mostly there to constantly drool over Statham and, for some reason, food.
