Mike M A reminder of just how many of the stars' shorts were variations on a theme: in this instance, putting the pair in drag as their own sisters, and one another's wives... The same jokes dressed up with middling conviction, then: unlike some male comediants through the years, Stan and Ollie aren't especially striking in their ill-fitting wigs and cheap wardrobe, and the gagmen bungle one promising joke (Stan squandering the money he's been sent to the ice-cream parlour with, on a series of telephone calls reporting the flavours they don't stock) with a slackly written punchline.
