Book-based drama has emotional intensity, mild scariness. Go to Full Review

...undoubtedly wholesome family entertainment, and I have no doubt that kids will enjoy it. For adults, the experience might be a tad more tiresome. Go to Full Review

annette Z 05/07/2024 I LOVE THIS MOVIE THE FIRST IS BETTER I THINK BUT THIS OK PRETTY GOOD See more 12/20/2020 Another movie where dogs DIE! No this is not a story, it panders to soap opera feelings at the expense of hunting dogs. Any real Coon hunter carries a firearm to dispatch the Coon. I hunt upland birds with birdshot and have buckshot as backup for wild board and wildcats. This movie is nonsense. See more 01/27/2020 It is a wonderful book and should be required reading in school. The 2004 movie followed the book better than the 1st movie. The actors did a great job. I grew up coon hunting and hunting with dogs, so I know the bond between a boy and his hounds. See more 08/27/2017 Well, in all truth, I rented this because of Dave Matthews, because I love his music. I didn't know what to expect. And while he was ok, and this is a star filled cast, I did not like the movie. Very cheesy, very boring. Definitely not my cup of tea. See more 06/16/2015 Not a great adaptation of the book and not great in other ways to cancel that out. See more 06/03/2014 I think that this is family movie with a little bit of violence, but after seeing this I loved it so much!: ) If I were you,I would watch it. See more Read all reviews
