Witchboard 3: The Possession throws a potentially interesting twist into the mix: a washed up stock broker who lost his wealth on risky commodities trading begins using the board for predictions and soon invites an evil entity to take over his body. However, the film ends up featuring way to little genuine horror or anything of real interest. Still, if you are a bored horror fan who has seen everything else, you could do worse.....

Of course my favorite of the series has the lowest rating! This one has the best story, the best dialogue, and the best nudity. The effects are lacking but are good for a laugh and add to the entertainment!

This third "Witchboard" installment is a notch below the other two, and they weren't anything great, either. This entry just wasn't able to keep me interested for very long, and like all horror films, this isn't scary, either. There was just something about the story that quickly bored me, and therefore I spent much of my time watching the clock during this film. .

An unemployed stockbroker becomes possessed by a ouija board after getting helpful stock tips. Surprisingly bad special effects for a 1995 film. No connection to the previous two. Locky Lambert did a nice job not making me miss Tawny Kitaen.

"When I first discovered the oeja, known in the anceint days as the witchboard, I thought it was just a toy, a party game that pretended to summon the spirts fo the dead. I was dead wrong."-Francis Redman (Cedric Smith)
No gore or nudity, but I really dug the chanting monk score. Still has a air of evil about it.
"See ya in the funny papers, kid."-Ronald (Richard Zeman)

Third and final entry in the Witchboard series, Peter Svatek's directorial effort is one of poor results. I've always viewed the series as a Kevin Tenney three part in the sense that, he should have made all the entries because Tenney is a very good talented director. However this entry is bland, with little substance. This film looks cheaply made, and add to that poor acting and a poor plot, and you have a film that really doesn't deliver anything. In fact, this is the worst film in the trilogy, and they could have done a better job with writing a better story and the cast could have given better performances. The problem is, is that these straight to DVD titles tend to be bad, and almost intentionally are. I think for this film. They really didn't care how it turned out as long as they completed the Witchboard story. I think that just because a film is straight to DVD, it shouldn't be bad. I mean they could have done so much better than this, but they didn't. The story is really bland and the direction is sloppy. I personally feel as if Kevin Tenney should have rewritten the script and directed this final entry. Clearly passing the director torch didn't help on this film, and the result is a poor third entry to two very entertaining films. If you've loved Tenney's original film, thought the second one was good too, you'll be disappointed that they couldn't find a better conclusion to this trilogy. Add to that cheap effects, a bad script and directing and atrocious cast, and you have a horror film not worth your time.
