I found “Year 10” surprisingly involving. I was especially taken with the film’s heavy, the cannibal leader (Luke Massy), a sort of unstoppable malevolent force. Go to Full Review

Although there are some niggles within Year 10, overall the film is a fine addition to this year’s First Blood strand. Go to Full Review

Scott V @AceVentura 1d This was a waste of time. The movie was slow and it was difficult to get invested in the characters. The main guy just made one stupid decision after another. I do not recommend. See more Sheree B @SBrea 1d This is so well done. (Spoilers incoming). The cinematography, the acting, the story line, the suspense. I am quite shocked by the terrible audience reviews. People are saying that the antagonist makes stupid decisions, but what I saw was a young man, reliant on his father after the apocolypse since a young boy, singlehandedly take down an entire cannibal gang, retrieve his sister's life saving medication, find a house stocked with supplies for them to live in, and save a child in the process. Clearly the families in this film are moving from place to place, nomads, trying to find somewhere safe, no idea how to survive in the wilds, after likely living in city luxuries up until the 'the day'. I also think their lack of weaponary may be because they chose not to participate in the moral decay intensifying around them, or they'd been isolated so long they'd let their guards down. Brilliant film. See more Patrick M. @TXChainsawKiller Feb 3 Slow and very boring. Missed half of the movie as I was surfing on my phone, snd it has no dialogue. Just a lot of gasping and grunting. The subtitles have the characters’ names. Why? Their names are never spoken. See more Joseph G. @JoeBG Feb 1 I enjoyed the movie. It certainly was not the most thrilling, but it was enjoyable and thankfully under two hours long. Some of the reviewers talk about how unrealistic the movie is even going so far is to say unrealistic for a dystopian movie. But you need to realize, this is not real; it’s dystopian meaning it doesn’t exist right now maybe in the future but not right now so by definition, it will be unrealistic. See more Panda T @PandaPanda Feb 1 For having zero dialog, there was certainly a lot of expression and communication. 5/5 See more Celeste K @Celestialsol Jan 25 If you enjoy low budget films that rely on emotion, solid acting, and suspense, and if you tend to steer away from big-budget Hollywood, watch this. It has no dialogue, so it relies on elements like body language, facial expressions, and scenes where silence is key. The lead actor gets better and smarter as the movie progresses.
