In the first of a two-part documentary about celebrated designer Yves Saint-Laurent, filmmaker David Teboul chronicles the life and times of the renowned designer, who was born to privilege in Algeria and would go on to become one of the most influential fashion icons of all time. Through the use of candid interviews with Saint-Laurent, his mother and some of his closest collaborators, Teboul attempts to unmask one of the most enigmatic creative minds of our time.

Audience Member The description provided for this film is incorrect. The film is about Yves Saint Laurent, the fashion designer. Having no background in fashion, I found this film immensely interesting. The only compliant I have is that the filming style was very awkward and obviously done by an amateur.
