Anton Bitel Little White Lies 03/20/2017
buried beneath the surface of all the cheap thrills and schlocky production there lies a discourse on France's attempts to confront and come to terms with her resurgent wartime sins. Go to Full Review

You have to give Rollin credit for trying something new here, but the zombie with a heart of gold angle just seems like an ill-advised detour, zapping any of the horror the film might have otherwise conjured up. Go to Full Review

Zombie Lake holds a distinctive position in the annals of execrable movie trash ... Is this enough to transform Zombie Lake from merely bad to so-bad-it's-good? No, but it is so bad that it must be seen to be believed. Go to Full Review
Sean Axmaker Parallax View 03/23/2013
The make-up wouldn't pass muster at a pre-school Halloween party, the performances are embarrassingly amateur, and dubbing is so bad it's painful. Go to Full Review

There is at least a small possibility that Zombie Lake is the worst film I have ever seen. Go to Full Review

delysid d 12/14/2017 I thought the end of the film was pretty disturbing, a young girl loves her father who is a nazi zombie living in a lake, not sure why the brits needed to ban this one though See more 06/18/2017 A lot of naked girls! That's about it! Really bad zombie makeup! Should have been called... Attack Of The Green Nazi's I give it two stars because it's a good movie to watch with friends, while getting high on something. It's a bad, bad movie! See more 08/14/2015 The girl isn't back yet, is she? She probably met a young stud. A small lake in France was the dumping ground of some infected German soldiers that were part of some Nazi experiments. The Nazi zombie soldiers return to the lake and kill women and their lovers who can't help themselves but to get naked and play in the lake. "No weapon can kill them." Jean Rollins, director of The Nude Vampire, The Grapes of Death, Two Orphan Vampires, The Living Dead Girl, Killing Car, and Lost in New York, delivers Zombie Lake. The storyline for this picture is very mediocre and just zombies killing naked girls swimming in a lake; sometimes one naked girl, sometimes an entire van of them. "He says a bunch of ghosts are about to attack the village." I came across this film on Netflix and had to give it a chance, unfortunately. I generally enjoy bad horror movies, and this is definitely a bad one. I wouldn't say this is even "so bad it is good." I recommend skipping this. "We must hide the bodies. Chuck them in the lake." Grade: F+/D- See more 07/28/2015 This was terribly boring. I did projects around the house, and sat back down - to the same scene. Their costumes were hilarious, and looked like a middle school kids art project. The green make-up wore off in segments, and the zombies had amazingly styled hair (although they surfaced from a Lake). The very end was surprisingly fun. Watching a flame thrower burst out of windows (missing the zombies) while poorly spraying flames on the ground. The last segment when the flames died down, was obviously red "fabric" pieces blowing with a fan underneath - while someone was shining a flashlight behind it. Horribly creative, and sadly a terrible mess. Thanks for the laughs though! See more 05/23/2015 Amazingly bad..... Wow. So I loved it See more 12/21/2014 This gets the nod over "Shock Waves" in the underwater Nazi zombie category with its tender love story and nekkid volleyball. And there's an underwater shot of passing gynecological interest. Not a ballet, alas. Brilliantly stupid. See more Read all reviews
