Robert Lloyd Los Angeles Times ...unusual, if not unique... Oct 18, 2024 Full Review John Anderson Wall Street Journal Per TV’s law of diminishing returns, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage marks a thinning of material, the last paint on the roller, the fumes in the gas tank. Oct 17, 2024 Full Review Alison Herman Variety Jones is an enjoyably snarky presence, and Jordan shares a chemistry with Osment that’s sweet enough to make one forget about the age gap until someone points out Georgie isn’t technically old enough to drink. Oct 17, 2024 Full Review Joly Herman Common Sense Media Young teens and fans of Young Sheldon and Big Bang Theory might want to find out what happens to characters they enjoyed watching before. Oct 29, 2024 Full Review Joel Keller Decider Lorre and company can delve into the more emotional parts of their relationships and let the funny come when it comes. Oct 19, 2024 Full Review Ryan Schwartz TV Line It’s broad in style yet nuanced in its storytelling, and is made to appeal to all. Rated: A- Oct 15, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member I really enjoy it. The story is a great continuation of Young Sheldon but with the emphasis on Georgie's new family life living with Mandy's parents. The writers cover and build upon each character of the unusual dynamics in a non-typical family setting. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/08/24 Full Review Audience Member Stale writing, bad jokes, cheap laugh track. 4/10 Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/02/24 Full Review First Name L Young Sheldon was a pale homage to TBBT and Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage is an even paler homage to YS. That statement may be overly generous. I’ve watched the first two episodes looking…hoping…straining to find something to laugh at. Other than a mild chuckle here and there (mostly from Will Sasso), it been a fruitless quest. I know the actors are good. Montana Jordan should be the weak link but he’s holding his own with older actors like Sasso and Rachel Bay Jones. Even guest appearances from some of his YS costars hasn’t been enough to silence the groaning we experience while watching the show. From the horrible music for the opening to the ending credits, this show should be cancelled and done so quickly. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/26/24 Full Review Kevin L I loved TBBT and Young Sheldon as well as all the characters in this show from young Sheldon but this isn’t it. Mandy’s mom is so unlikable it’s aggravating. The show feels so off and generic in a bad way. The writing is poor and the laugh track doesn’t fit either. 👎🏻👎🏻 .. this disappoints me to say Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/26/24 Full Review Dtda T Bad writing. Get rid of the horrible laugh track. Music is annoying. Show is very cheesy. Feels like I’m watching a 1970’s sitcom rerun. Not at all likable like Young Sheldon or Big Bang Theory: Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/25/24 Full Review Hank R Mandy's mother is just plain annoying, with no redeeming characteristics such as Sheldon (BBT) had. Montana Jordan is not a comedic actor. Neither the character nor the actress (Emily Osment) brings anything special ... or particularly funny ... to the show. And now, with this evening's second episode, the producers have signaled they're very willing to turn Missy into an immature, dimwitted, follow-the crowd misfit. They should have used George Senior's death to straighten her out and turn her into a much-needed role model for teenage girl viewers ... albeit one who made a hormone-driven mistake several years into her 20s. The owners of the BBT franchise missed an enormous opportunity for 3 big wins in a row by not building their latest show around ... and titled ... "MeeMaw, Mom and Missy".
