Thomas T Story seems rushed but fights sequences were intense. I liked it Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/18/24 Full Review Matt A As a long time Gundam fan I was really excited for this show. After watching the series I am ultimately disappointed with the choices they have made. The good: the mobile suite fights are good and it's nice to see it in a more realistic setting. The shift of perspective is a nice twist on how it would feel to be on the receiving side of a gundam encounter. The show does a decent job of giving us the conflict between Federation and Zeon. The bad: the characters we fallow are not flushed out well. If any of them died I wouldn't really feel like I care that much since I never felt like I got a chance to know them besides the main characters back story. The animation is awful, it's like watching a bunch of cutscenes from a 2009 video game. It's clunky and robotic. Half of the time their facial expressions don't make the intensity of their voice, really brought me out of it. The story is a mess, you are just thrown into one battle after another. They try to add story and background but it gets cut off way too fast. The characters look like most of what Hollywood thinks strong female characters should look like and act, but it always comes out like their only personality is aggression. What makes a character more relatable is their weaknesses and vulnerability so they can grow and become stronger. And there's no way they put together a mobile suite in a day, come on. This show had a lot of potential and the fans of Gundam would have loved this show if it wasn't such a badly made mess. Gundam may not be Oscar worthy in it's shows, but this was just embarrassing. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/18/24 Full Review Hermentotip I The visuals are unacceptable by 2024 standards, specially the human characters. It is not a design look of choice, it is just bad. Comically bad at times, some of them like the doctor or the pink hair lady look and move actually worse than a videogame. The mechas are somewhat decent but they just can't save this mess. Not a big fan of the heavily 'tecnified' look of the zakus and the gundam. Also, MSG has always been about reflecting on the horror of war, but this is way too full of 'modern audience' red flags. Wasn't expecting any less from Netflix, though. Total letdown, and i'm a huge MSG fan Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/18/24 Full Review Daniel W I have been watching Gundam since 1985 this is way to short but captures the spirit of Gundam in a new and exciting way Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/18/24 Full Review Ernest W I watched half of the first episode and it was really bad. Graphics are terrible, it's like playing a game from 2005-2007, sometimes from 10 years earlier. It has no soul and the characters are generic and have no likeable traits. Only for psychofans of Gundam. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/17/24 Full Review Read all reviews
