David Hogan hoganreviews.co.uk Requiem For Vengeance can join with most of Netflix’s anime adaptations in feeling like whoever was in charge looked at the colourful visuals, characters and plot and decided it wasn’t “cool” or “gritty” enough so sucked all the fun out of everything. Cougar F It started out fine but the dialogue and the character development is really lacking. At times characters seem to feel doubtful and without hope and in a split of a second they switch to being bad ass heroes, it feels very inconsistent and not organic. The animation could be better given the fact that modern CGI is way above this, but I'll let this one go. The final fight scene was awkward and left me hopeless, but not in a good way. In all it felt all over the place not knowing where it actually stands. Whoever wrote this, please get back to the drawing board and build genuine character development. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/25 Full Review That Big Geek T I’ve never really seen any kind of Gundam before, but after watching this, I think I might just have to see it all! I honestly loved this: the action, the story, and that amazing final episode…. Definitely worth the watch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/25 Full Review Jeremy C Fairly good. The animation does get really wooden and the designs are a little off here and there- But all in all it tells a classic Gundam story. Fair warning Gundam tends to ne dry, and this isn't much different in that regard. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/24/24 Full Review Phlikker H I'm going to try and start with what i like and then what i don't like. I like the vibe/feeling the show captures of what goes on on the ground level of things during the war. At times very intense and very raw. The buildings give away a modern day age and the battlefield happens on the western grounds. what bothers me the most is that the animation is bad for this day and age, movement of characters are just terrible all in all. it's at times the level of shows like 'Heavy gear'. The writing is weak and characters are unlikeable, bland and totally forgettable. The show prioritized a diverse cast with this day and age cliché heroes instead of a strong story and plot. What results in dull predictable moments and fights. Nothing was groundbreaking, clever or catched me of guard. Episode 2 was already started to become a drag to watch this show.. The tomato-score of 47% it's at right now is very generous for this show. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/04/24 Full Review D. Hunter P I always love getting to see things from the Zeon perspective. The main character group that is put together by the end was an eclectic bunch. I also think that it was cool that things didn't at all go the ways you expect after so many other Gundam series. It reminded me most maybe of Gundam 0080 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/25/24 Full Review Leprechaun K By far the worst Gundam series I have seen ever. And I've seen most of them, since the original back in 1979. Was really looking forward to this. The 1st red flag was that it was originally English dubbed. It is obviously Americanized. The dialogue is sooooooo bad, mainly because it is in English. Quite frankly I don't watch any Anime dubbed. The animation is also very poor. Here's the killer blow. It is directed by a non-Japanese Director. I double if he's ever seen a real Anime. The mobile suits movement resembles American cartoon (e.g. Transformers). The Zaku and Gundam designs look funny, like cartoonish (again, Americanized). Oh well, wasn't expecting much, but was hoping it would be better considering it is 2024. Story was also bad. Nothing good about it except the anticipation was somewhat positive until I hit "Play". Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/13/24 Full Review Read all reviews
