Clarisse Loughrey Flicks (AU, NZ, UK) This story, supposedly, is about one of those “fucked-up” families - only, Running Point could really do with being a whole lot more fucked up. This is just dull. Apr 3, 2025 Full Review Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News “Running Point” is far from perfect but it still has Hudson and she’s sinking three pointers every time. Rated: 3/4 Mar 6, 2025 Full Review Anita Singh Daily Telegraph (UK) If you ever watched Ted Lasso and thought, “I like it, but it’s a bit heavy. It needs to be more like Emily in Paris,” then this show could be for you. Rated: 2/5 Mar 4, 2025 Full Review Abby Monteil The Daily Beast No matter what your relationship with basketball is, Running Point won’t be the best TV you see this year. But it goes down easily and boasts so much star appeal that it doesn’t have to be. Jun 10, 2025 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com …maybe Netlfix's Running Point doesn’t quite hit the immediately iconic heights of Apple TV’s fabled sports-sitcom hit Ted Lasso, but this Kate Hudson vehicle is peppy, upbeat, glossy and funny, and that’s all good for an escapist entertainment… Rated: 4/5 May 14, 2025 Full Review Tara Ariano Cracked Amazingly, Running Point sidesteps the worst girlboss clichés, and is much more than Legally Blonde on a basketball court. Johnathan B. Great season one, looking forward to season 2 Hey Kate Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/28/25 Full Review Marie D Loved it! Great characters, great charisma, great score. So delighted there'll be a Season 2. Might re watch before Season 2 appears... the cast is super but Kate Hudson is superb 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/20/25 Full Review Ken E After watching the disastrous crime series Mobland and Waterfront, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptionally well-done comedy series Running Point. Finally, a funny, laugh-out loud series in an era when most "comedies" are stupid, juvenile, and lame. This series has well-written, witty dialogue driven home by Kate Hudson's excellent acting. Although a tad hammy, Kate's delivery, double-takes, and video inserts, had me chuckling all the time. The situation is that the ignored daughter gets to run the basketball franchise through a ridiculous circumstance. Everyone belittles her, but she knows more about the game than her dumb-ass but "superior" brothers. She fails but more often succeeds with reasonable and logical analyses of everything from team TV contracts, to handling troublesome players, to adapting when things go south. The situations she faces are actually realistic and believable. Kate's character reminds me of the Amy Adams character in The Trouble With the Curve, another highly-recommended story. Running Point has been renewed for a second season and I can hardly wait. There was a time when movies were funny; not so much anymore, until Running Point. Kate Hudson made a bunch of funny movies. It's great to see her so true to form. She is more like her wonderful and hilarious mom Goldie every day - but in her own way. Great genes! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/10/25 Full Review Rosey R FINALLY! A light comedy with great acting and awesome storyline. Highly recommend. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/03/25 Full Review Ruth F Loved this fast paced funny show. Great characters. Kate Hudson was great in this role. Can’t wait for season 2 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/27/25 Full Review Katherine O Far from perfect but makes us laugh out loud in every episode so giving it a strong 4/5! Some fantastic characters and one-liners. And Kate’s girl boss outfits…..ridiculous but fabulous. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/22/25 Full Review Read all reviews
