It’s more than a little underwhelming to have an episode teeing up a future plot development that’s ultimately not that interesting, especially when the human drama around it isn’t the best Monarch can do.

I wish this was two separate seasons. I really do. Because now, instead of one fantastic Godzilla show and one middling to decent one, we have a series that comes to life only long enough to frustrate the audience.

Took till the last two episodes before it got any good, the characters are overly mellow dramatic superficial, especially the younger characters. The plot lines blindingly obvious from the first episode and they take far too long to get to the point when you already know what coming anyway. It shouldn’t take this long to draw out a plot out that even a five-year-old could understand it. And if your going to make a show about monster have freaking monsters and not Anna Sawai’s terrible acting and lack of actual character growth.

It's not horrible, but the series really thinks that humans (who even have a somewhat cool history) are more interesting than monsters. Which is extremely wrong.

Season 1 of monarch expands the monsterverse has compelling characters intense action scenes full of emotion Kurt and Wyatt Russell steal the screen whenever they show up the writing is somewhat mixed but excells story telling of how monsters effect the world and lives of people Godzilla is a spectacular sight and the cast of new creatures are nice additions if your a fan or monsters or sci-fi this is for you

I do love the show for sure, My only complaint to the the Director is. Show the monsters a little more. We only get a minute or two every 5 episodes of Kong or ZILLA

Unique, quirky and yet magnetic launch to a series. Performances by Kurt and Wyatt Russell are seamless and compelling job playing the same character, and Mari Yamamoto scores high. The rest of the cast are good enough.
