There is not a great need to go into all sorts of detail when reviewing Pachinko because it is enough to simply say it is extraordinary, profoundly moving, and exquisite in every way imaginable. It is without doubt one of the very best, one of the most moving, one of the most powerful television series I have seen. It is a thing of beauty that will touch your soul.

核心主旨、影像语言、女性视角、片尾的真实采访……本片值得称道的地方太多了，每一处都可以展开来细细琢磨。“因二战而产生的无国籍在日朝鲜人”，这一身份背后的政治议题正不断随着老人们的逝去而褪色。但是这样一个关于她/他们及其子孙后代的故事，被成功搬上了美国很有影响力的流媒体，在全世界、尤其是东亚以外的地区传播开来，也足以证明韩国文化输出的成功。希望我们的故事有朝一日也能被更多人看到。

The show has a unique powerful story with very little wasted screen time. It is simple yet beautifully told and the acting has been really commendable. This might be my favourite ongoing show at the moment. Deserves all the love and awards.

Beautiful film that takes you to another part of the world. Don't be intimidated by the subtitles as the actors are brilliant and this story is timeless and universal in it's life lessons and emotion. The cinematography is stunning and truthful. The best film I have watched in a very long time!
