Pete Rose may be part of Major League Baseball history as its all-time hits leader, but he is also a family man, which is the focus of this docuseries. Pete tries to keep his family life intact during his engagement to former Playboy model Kiana Kim, who has two kids from a previous marriage. His own adult children have reservations about the relationship, specifically about the large age difference between the two, but that's not stopping Pete and Kiana from continuing their relationship and planning their nuptials. The engaged pair face challenges that include managing a long-distance relationship: Pete lives in Las Vegas, and Kiana and her children, in Los Angeles. Pete's controversial baseball career also complicates their lives, as he contemplates appealing again for reinstatement into baseball.
