What to Know

Critics Consensus

Prison Break's (first) series finale will bring closure to the diehard fans, but the season's ludicrous, plot-breaking twists betray the feeling that this saga should have ended a jailbreak or two before.

Alan Sepinwall Newark Star-Ledger It bears no resemblance to the show I started watching four years ago. But it was amusing (if not always intentionally), and the fans who stuck it out all the way through will get plenty of closure. Sep 26, 2018 Full Review David Hinckley New York Daily News Fans who preferred the show's more subtle nuances may find events folding together a little too neatly, but on the whole the finale serves the characters well. Sep 25, 2018 Full Review Bruce Simmons Screen Rant The closing story became too convoluted with twists, turns and the reappearance of old characters. Sep 26, 2018 Full Review Jake Meaney PopMatters It's all so much treading water, solely to get to some sort of grand finale that makes sense, as if anything could. Rated: 6/10 Sep 26, 2018 Full Review Ahsan Haque IGN Movies It's another rollercoaster ride for these memorable characters, and season four gives you the chance to say goodbye to some very compelling personalities. Rated: 8.1/10 Sep 25, 2018 Full Review Ben Rawson-Jones Digital Spy Somewhat staggeringly, this horse had one last race left in its creaking legs and saved it for the feature length-finale. Prison Break bowed out in fine style, wrapping up the tale of two brothers and leaving a lump in the throat. Sep 25, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Rafik 1 It was great and the end crushed me Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/18/24 Full Review gta and more B great season!!! better that the 3, but not like 1 and 2 of cours, but it was very very very good Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/14/24 Full Review Audience Member It was a good Season but for now it was clearly the least best Season of the show, I haven't seen season five yet but for now this is the season that I enjoyed least while watching, I still had very much fun watching the episodes though, especially the last episodes were absolutely exciting and made Prison break kind of like what it was in the first and 2nd season, a smart written tv show with absolutely amazing and unexacting plots. The Start and the middle of this Season were kind of hard to get into highly because this season was stretching so long( it was most of the time kind of boring) but overall the writing still was good and the Death of bellick truly was sad, then in the last 4 episodes it was crazy to see every character that made a comeback into the show and it also was kind of sad to me to see what happened to Don Self at the end of the Season , even though he was one of the worst actors in all of the show. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/23/24 Full Review Käsekuchen T It was somewhat entertaining. That's it. You can use it to waste time if you are already bored. There are so many double-crosses and plottwists, it's not even a surprise anymore. Like every episode are at least 2. Every character is acting very, very stupid. The plot is illogical and cheap. Enemy gunmen seem to have Stormtrooper syndrome, they never hit anything. Don't watch. It's a waste of time. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/10/24 Full Review Bob B this was a perfect conclusion to the series Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/09/23 Full Review Joana R Not really my favorite season. Some holes in the plot, really not a fan of the ending Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
