Arthur Stone

Arthur Stone was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Stone started his acting career landing roles in such films as "An Affair of the Follies" (1927), "Babe Comes Home" (1927) and "The Patent Leather Kid" (1927). He also appeared in "The Sea Tiger" (1927), the John Breeden musical "Fox Movietone Follies of 1929" (1929) and "The Far Call" (1929). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the thirties, appearing in "The Bad Man" (1930), "The Girl of the Golden West" (1930) and the Dennis King adaptation "The Vagabond King" (1930). He also appeared in "Bad Company" (1931) and "The Big Shot" (1931). Nearing the end of his career, he tackled roles in the drama "So Big" (1932) with Barbara Stanwyck, "That's My Boy" (1932) and "Bordertown" (1934). He also appeared in the Warner Oland mystery "Charlie Chan in Egypt" (1935) and the crime flick "Fury" (1936) with Spencer Tracy. Stone was most recently credited in "I'll Tell the World" (1945). Stone passed away in September 1940 at the age of 57.
