Gordon Oliver
Gordon Oliver found incredible success as an accomplished actor, appearing in a variety of films throughout his Hollywood career. Oliver kickstarted his acting career in various films such as the mystery "Fugitive in the Sky" (1936) with Jean Muir, the action movie "Draegerman Courage" (1936) with Jean Muir and "Alcatraz Island" (1937). He also appeared in the William Hopper drama "Over the Goal" (1937), "San Quentin" (1937) with Pat O'Brien and the drama "Women Are Like That" (1937) with Kay Francis. His film career continued throughout the thirties in productions like "Youth on Parole" (1937), the dramatic adaptation "Jezebel" (1938) with Bette Davis and the Beverly Roberts action picture "The Daredevil Drivers" (1938). He also appeared in the Penny Singleton comedy "Blondie" (1938). Toward the end of his career, he continued to act in the drama "Born to Be Bad" (1950) with Joan Fontaine, the Robert Mitchum drama "My Forbidden Past" (1951) and the crime picture "The Las Vegas Story" (1952) with Jane Russell. Oliver more recently acted in "Cancel My Reservation" (1974) with Bob Hope. Oliver was married to Elsa Oliver and had two children. Oliver passed away in January 1995 at the age of 85.
