Jans began to focus on film after appearing in the comedy "The Last Outlaw" (1936) with Harry Carey and "The Smartest Girl in Town" (1936). Later in his career, Jans acted in "Racing Lady" (1937). Jans passed away in February 1962 at the age of 64.
