Harry Locke
Harry Locke was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Locke began his acting career appearing in various films, such as "Private Angelo" (1949), "The Red Beret" (1953) and "Devil on Horseback" (1954) with Googie Withers. He also appeared in the Dirk Bogarde comedy adaptation "Doctor in the House" (1955), the Margaret Leighton crime flick "The Teckman Mystery" (1955) and "Reach For the Sky" (1956). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like "Doctor at Large" (1957), "Town on Trial" (1957) and the Yvonne Mitchell drama "Woman in a Dressing Gown" (1957). He also appeared in the Alec Guinness comedy "All at Sea" (1957). Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles in the comedic adaptation "On the Fiddle" (1961) with Alfred Lynch, the comedy "Heavens Above!" (1963) with Peter Sellers and the dramatic adaptation "The L-Shaped Room" (1963) with Leslie Caron. He also appeared in the Virginia Maskell dramatic adaptation "The Wild and the Willing" (1964) and the Hayley Mills comedy adaptation "The Family Way" (1966). Locke last acted in the comedic adaptation "Oh! What A Lovely War" (1969) with Ralph Richardson. Locke passed away in September 1987 at the age of 74.
