With her outlandish costumes, heavy make-up (especially an abundance of blue eye shadow) and snarling delivery, the character of Mimi Bobeck on "The Drew Carey Show" (ABC, 1995-2004) proved to be a formidable nemesis for the title character. Mimi embodied everyone's worst nightmare of the co-worker from hell, but the character brought TV fame to the rotund, diminutive, blonde comedian who created the part.
