Melissa Rivers
Despite branching out on her own on episodic television and reality series, awards show host and occasional actress Melissa Rivers primarily shared the spotlight with her comedian mother, Joan Rivers, as a red carpet interviewer for some of Hollywood's biggest awards nights. Rivers did receive her start with guest appearances on episodic television, but quickly shifted gears to cover awards with her mother starting in 1994. In the span of a few short years, both mother and daughter graced the red carpet with their sharp interviews that often featured post-show commentary on celebrity fashion. Meanwhile, Rivers began to branch out on her own with numerous guest spots - typically as herself - on shows like "Just Shoot Me" (NBC, 1997-2003), "Switched Up" (ABC Family, 2004) and "The L Word" (Showtime, 2004-09). She also became a regular presence on game shows and reality series, winning money for various charities on "Celebrity Family Feud" (NBC, 2008) and "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" (ABC/syndicated, 1999-).
