Pablo Montero

A popular singer and actor in the Spanish-speaking world, Pablo Montero was known for his use of "charro" hats and black clothing during his concerts. Montero was born Óscar Daniel Hernández Rodríguez on August 23, 1974 in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico. Montero's first professional singing job as a teenager was as the lead singer of a group named Trébol. The group had a number one hit titled "Si tu Supieras." Shortly after, Montero decided to go solo, struggling in local clubs until 1999 when his album "Donde Estas, Corazon?" (1999) went to number one on Mexico's charts. The album's success led to his acting debut in "Vivo Por Elena" (1998), where he played a struggling young singer. The success of this appearance led to roles in other telenovelas like "Nunca te olvidaré" (1999), "Abrázame muy fuerte" (2000), "Rebeca" (2003) and "Entre el Amor y el Odio" (2002). His success in both the music world and on Spanish-language television vaulted him to the role of Franco Reyes, one of the protagonists in "Fuego en le sangre" (2008). His popularity again landed him the co-starring role of Cruz Robles Martínez on "Triunfo del amor" (2010) as well as the role of Diego Lascurain on "Mi corazon es tuyo" (2014). Montero continued to grace the small screen with a role in "Lo imperdonable" (2015) as Demetrio Silveria, a wanted man who was betrayed by the woman he loves.
