Paul Smith was an actor who made a successful career for himself in film. Smith began his acting career appearing in various films, such as the western "The Battle at Apache Pass" (1952) with John Lund, the romance "You For Me" (1952) with Peter Lawford and the dramatic adaptation "Men of the Fighting Lady" (1954) with Van Johnson. He also appeared in the Barbara Stanwyck remake "There's Always Tomorrow" (1956), "Funny Face" (1957) and the Craig Stevens sci-fi motion picture "The Deadly Mantis" (1957). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the fifties and the sixties, appearing in "The Left-Handed Gun" (1958) with Paul Newman, the musical comedy "Bikini Beach" (1964) with Frankie Avalon and "The Great Race" (1965) with Jack Lemmon. He held additional roles in television including a part on "Mr. Terrific" (CBS, 1966-67). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "Inside O.U.T." (NBC, 1970-71). Smith more recently acted on "The Monster Squad" (NBC, 1976-77).
