Roger Davis
Roger Davis was an actor who graced the silver screen many times throughout his Hollywood career. Davis's career in acting began with his roles in various films like "A Social Celebrity" (1926), the Beatrice Lillie comedy "Are You There?" (1930) and the romantic comedy "Youth Takes a Fling" (1938) with Andrea Leeds. He also appeared in the Fred Astaire adaptation "The Belle of New York" (1952), "Ride the Wild Surf" (1964) and "House of Dark Shadows" (1970) with Jonathan Frid. He continued to work steadily in film throughout the seventies, appearing in "Flash and the Firecat" (1975), the drama "Nashville Girl" (1976) with Monica Gayle and "New Girl in Town" (1977). He also appeared in the Piper Laurie horror feature "Ruby" (1977). Davis continued to exercise his talent in the eighties through the early 2000s, taking on a mix of projects like "Paul Cadmus: Enfant Terrible at 80" (PBS, 1985-86), "Chameleons" (NBC, 1989-1990) and "Molly" with Elisabeth Shue (1999). His credits also expanded to "The Way of the Gun" (2000). Davis most recently worked on the Ryne Sanborn comedy "The Adventures of Food Boy" (2008). Davis was married to Jaclyn Smith.
