Sam De Grasse

Sam De Grasse was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. De Grasse's career in acting began with his roles in various films like "The Martyrs of the Alamo" (1915), the Lillian Gish historical feature "Birth of a Nation" (1915) and "The Good Bad Man" (1916). He also appeared in the Lillian Gish historical drama "Intolerance" (1916), "The Hope Chest" (1918) and "Blind Husbands" (1919). His film career continued throughout the twenties in productions like "The Devil's Passkey" (1920), "The Cheater Reformed" (1921) and the Douglas Fairbanks adventure "Robin Hood" (1922). He also appeared in "Circus Days" (1923). In the latter part of his career, he tackled roles in "The Eagle of the Sea" (1926), "King of Kings" (1927) and "Captain Salvation" (1927). He also appeared in "The Fighting Eagle" (1927) and "The Man Who Laughs" (1928). De Grasse last acted in "Wall Street" (1929). De Grasse passed away in November 1953 at the age of 78.
