Taylor Mead

Taylor Mead was an actor who made a successful career for himself in film. Mead's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as "The Flower Thief" (1962), the Maybelle Nash comedic fantasy "Open the Door and See All the People" (1963) and the Gerard Malanga experimental "Couch" (1964). He also appeared in "Tarzan and Jane Regained... Sort of" (1964) and "Lonesome Cowboys" (1969). His film career continued throughout the seventies and the eighties in productions like the Greta Keller documentary "Underground and Emigrants" (1975), "Feedback" (1979) and "Underground U.S.A." (1980). In his more recent career, he tackled roles in the drama "Buster's Bedroom" (1993) with Donald Sutherland, "Memoirs of a Madman" (1994) and "Neurosia: 50 Years of Perversity" (1996) with Desiree Nick. Mead most recently appeared on the Alice Neel documentary "The Feature" (2009).
