Viola Dana
Viola Dana was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Dana's career in acting began with her roles in various films like "The Flower of No Man's Land" (1916), "Blue Jeans" (1918) and "The Chorus Girl's Romance" (1920). She also appeared in "Puppets of Fate" (1921). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the twenties, appearing in "The Off-Shore Pirate" (1921), "Her Fatal Millions" (1923) and "Hollywood" (1923) with Hope Drown. She also appeared in "Merton of the Movies" (1924). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in "The Beauty Prize" (1924), "As Man Desires" (1925) and "The Necessary Evil" (1925). She also appeared in "The Show of Shows" (1929) with Frank Fay. Dana more recently appeared on "Buster Keaton: A Hard Act to Follow" (PBS, 1987-88). Dana's husband was John H Collins. Dana passed away in July 1987 at the age of 90.
