Ann Ross Maclean's Magazine A newspaper picture, which to old moviegoers tells most of the story. steve d Cute but forgettable. Grant however is as fun as ever. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Tom M Typical Grant 30's comedy. If you like him, you'll like the movie. Bennett is great standing up to him. Demarest is a great addition as a gangster who owes Grant. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/26/20 Full Review Audience Member 2: Pretty much a throwaway romantic comedy, which goes to show you that even back in the golden era of Hollywood they made mediocre genre pictures not that dissimilar from today's. They could even star Cary Grant, so I guess we can forgive sme of today's romantic comedy stars, at least if they have a dud every once in a while. Doing it every time out and never being involved in a quality picture, much less numerous masterpieces, is another story of course. Pretty silly story, with a few good scenes and set pieces. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Delightful,Carey Grant is great in this movie. He goes all out to get his girl. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Better than their other co-starring film "Big Brown Eyes" but still a minor film it is a shame Cary Grant and Joan Bennett never had a chance to act together again in a more worthy script their chemistry is great. Goofy film plays like a warm up for His Girl Friday. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved this romantic comedy, it's got Grant and Bennett, and they're great. A really nice story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
