Famed forensic psychiatrist Dr. Jack Gramm (Al Pacino) enjoys a reputation as one of the most sought-after profilers around. His expert testimony has resulted in the conviction of many criminals, including serial killer Jon Forster. Though sloppily directed with lowbrow inferiority and unconvincing characterized efforts whilst disjointed, it’s a lesser thriller that hooks only to the minimum without much substance that leaves Al Pacino to make the best out of the given material under problematic execution. (C)

Thriller dalla scelta incomprensibile di far durare un film chiamato "88 minuti", più di quel minutaggio; scelta ancora più assurda considerando che il film presuppone che tutti gli eventi avvengano in quel tempo, evidentemente troppo ridotto per tutte le location e le situazioni che cambiano per tutta la sua durata. Al Pacino centrica, la sceneggiatura pecca nel racconto dei personaggi che girano intorno al protagonista; errore considerato che intorno al mistero di questi personaggi ruota anche il villain. il finale è troppo banale, la posizione di Al Pacino sembra irrimediabilmente compromessa eppure l'antagonista si mostra e viene sconfitta in modo piuttosto bizzarro,
