It is wildly entertaining. Now, if you're looking for an actual insight into the lives of true practicing mormon wives, this is not for you. Most of the women featured in this show have either left the church or pick and choose which church practices that they want to follow, which results in a group of women who have very loose morals despite pretending to hold each other accountable. The name "secret lives of mormon wives" is simply to draw viewers in and set a vibe for the show, but it is very much like any other housewives show. What sets it apart from other housewives shows though is that these women are still very much in their youth and are still dealing with dating, having children, divorce, and petty he-said, she-said drama, which results in a delicious combination that will have you both rooting and hating on each of these women. Cons: If you don't like grown women acting like teenagers and constantly yelling at each other, this show is not for you. Personally, I can't get enough of these ladies and their drama. It’s harder to overlook the constant talk about women’s empowerment in season 3 when it’s clearly promoting the opposite of that and now in an almost scripted inauthentic way.
