Jonathan O A cat in a brain is really interesting gore film and is a film with in a film and the deaths are very gruesome and nasty but they're are some stock footage from Fulci's previously film and you can tell this is he's farewell of making Italian gore film from Lucio Fulci. After decades of making gialli, Fulci's grip on reality fades and he begins to experience hallucinations. These "hallucinations" are a convenient way to reuse some of his favorite bits from his previous movies. The name of his boat is so appropriate.
