michael s They showed this movie, which I had never heard of, last night on the MGMHD channel as part of their Cult Classics programming and now I have another cinematic masterpiece to add to my list of worst pictures of all time. Trippy, 60's unintelligible nonsense that is a true embarrassment to everyone involved accept Jordan Christopher who got to sing and show off his naked butt over and over for "shock" value. You really have to wonder how actual Hollywood stars like Jennifer Jones and Roddy McDowell got talked into being in this POS. Did they lose a bet? Didn't they read the script, if there was one, as the whole thing seemed improvised. Anyway if you get a chance to see it be prepared not to be dazzled by this train wreck of a movie that would be great on a double bill with another utter piece of cinematic 💩 Myra Breckinridge. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review kevin c The overweight daughter of an enormously rich couple is taken in by a music group of skydiving enthusiasts with their own radical ideals. This was a pretty strange film, complete with musical numbers, a weird psychedelic tone to this film probably due to era released. Just an all around weird movie. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member phenomenal cult classic Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A satire without an apparent target or message, a script like particularly vapid beat poetry, and a special credit for the collage artist. Of course I sort of loved it. At least with "Beyond the valley of the dolls" or "Myra Breckinridge" you could at least tell what the movies were supposed to be about, but this movie is authentically undefinable, with no genre, tone, or point emerging from the nihilism. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Absolutely awful piece of garbage that wants to be so with it in that terrible love child flower power way that studios in the late 60's thought was a way to reach the young audience... they were wrong. Bad music, acting and dialogue. Jennifer Jones' involvement is proof positive that an Oscar is no guarantee of being able to age with dignity in the movies, no wonder she waited five years to make something decent, The Towering Inferno, and then retired permanently. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Angel, Angel Down We Go is a must-see dystopic vision of America. The film is also known as The Cult of The Damned. Jordan Christopher does a fantastic job as a visionary deconstructuralist/rock star.
