Audience Member Weird seeing probably the most bizarre of the Blondie films I've seen thus far (I only have the first 10 of the 28 films that were made from 1938-1950), as the Bumstead family are tricked by Dagwood's boss, Mr. Dithers, into staying at a mansion rumoured to be haunted. Still enjoyable fun, that's short and sweet and doesn't outstay its welcome. It definitely has it's moments, and lots of laughs, but something is missing, I'm not too sure what it is, but still good. More intense than usual with the creepy characters. Still worth the look,. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member THE BLONDIE SERIES IS SO MUCH FUN. THIS IS ONE OF THE BETTER FILMS IN THE SERIES. BLONDIE AND DAGWOOD ARE SPOOKED IN A SUPPOSEDLY HAUNTED HOUSE. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Another horror-comedy-mystery in an old spooky house. This is the same Blondie you know from the Sunday comics, except she wasn't as nice and shapely as the drawings (which, admittedly, is the main reason I read the comics when I was 6, 7, 8 years old!). Blondie wants to have servants like the neighbors do, but cannot afford them because Dagwood cannot get a raise. His boss says Dagwood can act as caretaker of an estate house which does have servants which get Blondie excited. When the Bumsteads arrive at the home, spooky things start to happen and they suspect they are being chased off. Goofy, light-hearted, but not without a fright or three. Spoiler - he actually gets a raise at the end!
