There's much to enjoy in this darkly comic update of Cain and Abel. Go to Full Review

Although Brothers' Nest feels very much like a short story uncomfortably expanded to feature length, it's not unentertaining. Go to Full Review

The Jacobsons have given us another comedy classic, far stranger than the last. Go to Full Review

They might not look it, being burly and impassive, but brothers Terry and Jeff (actual brothers Shane and Clayton Jacobson, who also directs) are desperate men. Go to Full Review

Boasting a fantastic score by Richard Pleasance and his Pleasantville band, the film takes some time to build up, but the writing is effective, pointing out to a tough, unrelenting, and intense final part. Go to Full Review

12/30/2020 This film may well have been well produced. It was dark and it was supposed to be. It had that melancholy feeling to it throughout. Well acted. However, it was a snooze fest. People often say "It was alright for an Australian film". I used to hate that, and tried to be patriotic, but Australia can make some awful films at times. See more 11/17/2020 Interesting but slow moving story. For me it was lacking in the humour department. See more 04/03/2019 Brilliantly executed dark comedy with an underlying twisted family drama for good measure. Achieves a great balance between humour and emotion. See more 03/25/2019 This film made my top ten films for 2018. Single location thriller done exceptionally well. For the full review see vanessasnonspoilers.com See more 03/20/2019 ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH MOVIE! This has to be the worst Austalian movie I have seen. The plot was slow and negative not a comedy at all, to make things worse the ending was disgusting and disturbing. DONT WATCH IT!! See more 01/20/2019 Thank God for Brothers' Nest, I was genuinely worried that 2018 didn't have anything great left to offer me. Australia has a pretty grim take when it comes to the "Dark Comedy" genre, and Brothers' Nest is absolutely no exception. But if you think of it as less of a comedy and more of a Crime Drama that you'll probably laugh in (and then maybe feel kinda bad), then you'll do well. See more Read all reviews
