Steve D Some good ideas but overall too cheesy to work. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Not a big fan of the conclusion, but it's an alright curiosity if you're a fan of drive-in flicks or post apocalyptic movies. The addition of the vampire bats was a bit...odd... Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review bill t Interesting movie which is a lot more fun to talk about that to actually see. A group of citizens is strategically chosen to be placed in a bunker because in nuclear war has broken out. These will be the chosen ones To start the human race all over again. Sound interesting so far? Yes! Very Cloverfield Lane. Many psychological situations could have happened. I guess somebody somewhere decided this just wasn't enough.... So they added VAMPIRE BATS. Yes vampire bats. They're getting into the bunker! Oh no! So, what could have been interesting turns out to be bizarre and ultimately disappointing and boring. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I thought the vampire bats were a nice touch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Another Film from the Midnite Movie Double Feature Collection. This is a film that deals with what would happen if the world was under a nuclear holocaust, something that was still on the minds of everyone during the cold war. A group of people are taken from different walks f life and put in an underground bunker to repopulate the earth when it is safe to return to the surface, but in reality there has been no nuclear war its just a study to see how people would react, but what was expected was blood sucking bats in the bunker. A drive in movie for sure, might have scared a few people in 1974 / 1975 time frame but does little these days in the wake of other horror movies. But if you enjoy good ole Drive In Movies this is for you. And Jackie Cooper (from Little Rascals all grown up) is in this movie. 3 1/2 stars Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member 70s sci-fi/thriller has a group of people sealed into a survival shelter during the onset of nuclear war and discovering they're locked in with a horde of hungry vampire bats. Despite what sounds like an amusing idea, flick is robbed of any fun as it's filmed with an absolutely lethargic hand by director Sutton Roley and the weak script and bad dialog don't help either. The cast is completely wooden and since we've seen a number of these actors do much better, it again falls on the director for not inspiring his performers. And this includes the bats as well, who are given no sense of menace or threat and are portrayed at times with some embarassingly bad FX. It's a shame, there is a really fun B-movie idea buried under all the underwhelming melodrama but, like it's beseiged characters, it's completely drained of life by the anemic execution by those behind the camera.
