Audience Member I love these type of Christmas movies; I like the actors in this one; I am even ok with the questionable taste of the "ghost" and her circumstances. What made me turn it off halfway through was how COMPLETELY unlikeable (and the word that I want to use start with a "B") the main character is! I hated her with a passion and didn't even want her to get a happily-ever-after!!! Painful Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Literally the worst Christmas movie I have ever watched. My bf wanted to kill himself the entire time. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review bill t A pretty bad and questionably bad taste version of a Christmas Carol here. Lady agent has one of her clients die, and the client's ghost comes back to warn the agent to turn her life around or face the consequences. It's all a bit cringe. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The biggest problem is the premise: it's essentially a modernization of a Christmas Carol, with the "boyfriend's of christmas past" angle. Christina and Ashley nail this, but it honestly would have been nicer if it had been something more than what it was. All the boyfriend focus sort of falls flat, and it is Christina's character's mental breakdown as she's harassed by the ghost of her dead client that is interesting. Honestly a movie of that would work, and probably exists somewhere: a Ricky Gervais movie (Ghost Town) comes to mind where he can talk to ghosts, along with a Lake Bell movie (Over Her Dead Body) where she's a medium that dates a client on the rebound, but his dead ex-wife haunts her. Sadly, both those movies are much better and retain better romantic angles. As far as "Christmas Carol"s go, this isn't so bad, and I did enjoy the movie, but I'm unsure if I would actually recommend it (citing the other two movies mentioned). I would certainly enjoy watching it again, but there are a lot of options out there. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Although it may appear that this movie is of the highest possible quality, it sucks. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Horrible Christmas movie. You would not even know this movie was happening during Christmas time if they hadn't mentioned it a couple of times. The only thing connecting this movie to Christmas was Scrooged theme, which it did a horrible job of conveying. Also - one major thing that I found to be shameful was that this African-American girl had no African-American love intrests. Of all of the guys from her past not one of them was African-american, bi-racial, or any other ethnicity aside from Caucasian. Not even any of her friends were African-American. I find that type of casting to be really sad! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
