Critics Consensus

If Denial doesn't quite do its incredible story complete justice, it comes close enough to offer a satisfying, impactful drama -- and another powerful performance from Rachel Weisz.

A movie that stayed rigorously inside its heroine's muzzled sense of frustration could be compelling, but Jackson keeps cutting to superfluous subplots. Go to Full Review

The excellent cast delivers the dramatic goods and a sequence involving a journey to Auschwitz provides a chilling reminder as to just what the legal arguments are really about. Go to Full Review

J P Jun 9 A well made movie with convincing performances. It deals with the trial and does not try to convince anyone of the truth of the Holocaust or the horror of it. The salient point here, I think, is that beliefs very often get in the way of facts, and vice versa. See more P M Jun 7 Great movie! And although I knew the verdict it had to be for Deborah Lipstadt I bawled my eyes out anyway for the victims. You see, I met a man with that tattoo. A great man henri landsworth, founder of the give the kids to world foundation. You see the holocaust is not a s*** stain on human history, it's a full blown diarrhea event, running down your leg, staining forever the leather of the inside of your brand new, expensive shoes and your newly white carpeted floor.
