Elvis D Retomando el estilo de animación tradicional, Disney ofrece este cortometraje animado que es una hermosa obra maestra en varios aspectos. Con una animación espectacular y adorables personajes animales, el cortometraje es una historia muy breve con una enseñanza acerca del rol parental. La pequeña mapache que al principio es una hija y luego pasa ser madre, es un vehículo transitorio sobre la forma en que uno es criado y como debe desempeñar ese rol en su etapa adulta. Lo que el cortometraje intenta transmitir es que el cuidado y el afecto que se le puede otorgar a un niño sin tener que recurrir a la sobreprotección debido a las secuelas psicológicas que este método puede dejar. La mapache de esta historia es un claro reflejo sobre lo que es ser criado de esta manera y como uno debe desempeñar su rol como padre o madre de la manera adecuada. Far From The Tree es indiscutiblemente uno de los mejores cortometrajes animados de Disney y una linda historia sobre el balance que se debe mantener entre el cuidado y el amor hacia un hijo. Mi calificación final para este cortometraje es un 10/10. Then as an adult, she faces the same challenge with her son. In this short, the raccoon animation is more cartoonish. I think that it might have worked better had the raccoons looked more realistic. Although it is supposed to be sentimental and sweet, and I get the same kind of vibes I got from "Piper" released before "Finding Dory", it didn't click with me. It is barely passable as entertainment. Rated 3/5 Stars •  Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review jacob b A beautifully animated story about toxic parenting (which audiences are getting concerned about due to possibly becoming a replacement trope for twist villains for Disney and Pixar) that's poignant and wholesome...and quite frankly, a much better short film to be surprised with (I don't think it was ever mentioned anywhere that Encanto would be preceded by a short film) on the big screen than the infamous Olaf's Frozen Adventure. The chance that there MIGHT be a short film is pretty much my only incentive to go see Strange World (whose reception has been some of Disney's worst since the 2000's, I mean, ouch!).
