william k This Australian production comes without any credits to its makers, although this is a remarkably extensive and informative documentary which assembles a vast amount of rare original material and some good interviews. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Some of the worst interviews I've ever seen in my whole damn life. The content is good and the material they aim to cover is solid, but the interviews are so lacking in quality, the whole thing falls apart. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Some of the worst interviews I've ever seen in my whole damn life. The content is good and the material they aim to cover is solid, but the interviews are so lacking in quality, the whole thing falls apart. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member The kind of music documentary you wish others would emulate. Input from journalists, biographers and most of the people involved with the 'original' Mothers of Invention (with the obvious absence of Frank). Rare footage and interviews with band members that still have a love for what they created. Now to dig through my collection and listen to the music all over again with greater insight. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member A lot of great footage of a very unique, significant, yet often overlooked group of musicians during their formative years in the late 60's. The doc hinges a little too heavy on the speculative opinions of a few music journalists, but I suppose that's how most of these docs work. The interview cilps with original Mothers' drummer/vocalist/trumpeteer/"Cowboy Burt" Jimmy Carl Black were worth the time, though. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
