      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Halloween Kills should satisfy fans in search of brute slasher thrills, but in terms of advancing the franchise, it's a bit less than the sum of its bloody parts.

Halloween Kills doesn't do much to move the Michael Myers saga forward, but viewers looking for hardcore horror violence won't be disappointed.

PJ Cool flashback to 78. Cool sequence coming out of the burning house. Weak evil dies tonight through line. Micheal killing Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/14/22 Full Review Delfin While the plot is not as great as 2018 and does not touch the original, Kills is very entertaining and delivers to its name. It also shows how The Shape affects people outside of the Strode family which was great to see and it sets up an exciting confrontation in Ends between Laurie and The Shape. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/13/22 Full Review kevin I never got to see this film. I purchase as you can see however, upon arriving to the theater they say that their machine is broken and they can not gone my purchase. I was very upset and have to drive an hour home. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/13/22 Full Review Bruised Banana Halfway decent follow up to a great horror reboot. So much stalling and failed drama makes it a bore many times. Lack of humor takes a toll. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/11/22 Full Review Jose Decent. It was way overhyped and one of those movies that you wait until it hits a streaming platform to watch. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/27/22 Full Review Alexander Not exactly a great follow-up to 2018. Michael Myers is a force unleashed, showcasing carnage as the title promises. However that's it. Hard to root for characters when they consistently do bonehead decisions. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/18/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Richard Whittaker Austin Chronicle As a sequel to the deliciously absurd 2018 resurrection, it's a ponderous bore, far-too-intermittently broken up by spurts of the franchise's signature gore. Nov 3, 2021 Full Review David Stratton The Australian Halloween Kills is an ugly, messy film. It's a little depressing to learn that yet another sequel is supposedly in the works. Rated: 2/5 Oct 30, 2021 Full Review Becca James Chicago Reader Halloween Kills fails to resurrect the franchise. Oct 30, 2021 Full Review Stephanie Bunbury Deadline Hollywood Daily Never was there a film truer to its name. They’re sliced up with kitchen knives, hollowed out with a fluorescent strip light, bisected with a chain saw and impaled on banisters. The body count is phenomenal. We love this stuff. You know we do. Sep 16, 2023 Full Review Rick Bentley KGET-TV (Bakersfield, CA) The entire story is Michael Myers kills stupid people who chase him. Rated: 0.5/5 Aug 10, 2023 Full Review Cris Parker 3C Films (Youtube) Halloween Kills may fall flat in its commentary, but it excels in its pure slasher carnage. This is the most brutal we have ever seen Michael Myers. Aug 9, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews
