Critics Consensus

From its clichéd story to Bruce Willis' rote performance, Marauders is a crime thriller content to settle for merely competent -- a goal it all too rarely achieves.

Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter Meloni does the best that he can with his clichéd role, and the supporting players occasionally manage to convey that they actually care about the material, which is more than anyone else will be able to say. Apr 13, 2020 Full Review Kevin Maher Times (UK) Marauders suffers from an affliction that's increasingly rare, if not unique, in the annals of modern gritty cop thrillers -- it is all plot and no drama. Rated: 2/5 Dec 22, 2016 Full Review Owen Gleiberman Variety It's a bank-robbery thriller and a "political" expos all at once: No wonder this overly elaborate potboiler turns into a muddle. Jul 7, 2016 Full Review Ernesto Zelaya Miñano ScreenAnarchy It's hard to maintain coherence in a movie this busy, which goes all over the place and overcomplicates a simple "cops and robbers" setup for no reason. Feb 3, 2023 Full Review Brian Costello Common Sense Media Gun violence, lots of language in solid action thriller. Rated: 3/5 Dec 16, 2020 Full Review Jason Best Movie Talk Willis is going through the motions, but Christopher Meloni delivers a far more committed performance as the determined FBI agent investigating the case. Vale apena assistir? Uhhhh se não tiver outra opção. Nota: 4 Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/30/24 Full Review angela g a very boring movie with a great cast Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/28/24 Full Review Gero C Too slow and boring. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/17/24 Full Review Victor O Now and then I like to check out what's on video on demand, and Bruce Willis will always hold a place for me. A modest action/thriller that isn't worth promoting on an A-level sometimes can be more interesting than it looks. So, I decided to check this out. A series of well-coordinated and highly sophisticated bank robberies are setting up the FBI and police of the city to hunt down the criminals responsible. But beyond attempting to solve the crimes, there seems to be more than just money and violence as the motive but a far darker realization that the bank is a part of something worse that the bank robbers are trying to expose. This was something that caught my eye and, in the end, kept me glued to my seat. There is a plethora of great acting from Bruce Willis, Jonathan Schaech, Christopher Meloni, Dave Bautista, etc, that truly deserve attention. The action/thriller was awesome, maybe not as inspiring as other movies but it was still a decent watch. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/12/24 Full Review Jelisije J The ending ruined this film for me. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/06/23 Full Review Kyle J Pretty good movie. I did not buy the two-big-wrongs-make-a-right catalyst for reasonable men to adopt. Maybe that is why I had a hard time following the story, or maybe I'm not that bright. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
