When a meteor full of space gunk transforms Susan Murphy (Reese Witherspoon) into a giant, the government renames her Ginormica and confines her to a secret compound with other monsters, like bug-headed Dr. Cockroach (Hugh Laurie). When an extraterrestrial robot lands on Earth and begins a rampage, Gen. W.R. Monger persuades the president to send Ginormica and her fellow monsters to battle the machine and save the planet.

A creative medium for DreamWorks. The 2 species being monsters & aliens are comparable but different. Finally, you could see them crossover. The cast will be memorable: Reese Witherspoon being Susan/Ginormica was random but would be a suitable role; Seth Rogen is B.O.B who is real funny; Will Arnett has that perfect voice for somebody like Link; Hugh Laurie is charming & witty being Dr Cockroach; finally, you got it right with Steohen Colbert as President Hathaway (would you rather have him as president) when he discusses politics with his stand-ups. There are true moment like Hathaway playing "Axel F" on the keyboard & Gallaxhar's backstop kept being interrupted although he continues regardlessly. Ever noticed the references to old skool monster movies? The movie can be meaningful, Susan/Ginormica felt like nothing as a giantess but her leads to her saving our world from these aliens with the other little fellas. B.O.B was a monster without a brain but he was not always idiot because he said had an idea & it was true. This movie was set up for me.

Monsters vs. Aliens (2009) is a film that has a very cheesy and exaggerated story, but its characters have a silly humor with a very fun combination. This story is not well-crafted but it manages to deliver good fun and entertainment.
