Audience Member Like a lot of these Italian z grade movies, the music is great and the photography is decent, but it's hamstrung by a simply story pointlessly padded with too much gratuitous sex. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Soft-core sleaze about a seductress who starts luring nuclear scientists to their deaths to prevent them going ahead with plans to build a nuclear power station in the centre of her village on a small Caribbean island. Not much cannibalism going on here, just a couple of brief bloody moments and a bit of pig slaughter to add some shock value. The gratuitous sex and nudity take centre stage in this one which drag on for too long, it needed a bit more bloodshed to break it all up. Sirpa Lane sulks her way through the film looking like a manic depressive... thank God shes blessed with a beautiful body! If you're in the mood for a bit of perversion then this will suit your needs. Best watched in the english dub for added entertainment. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member This was so good. It's essentially a walking-through-a-deserted-town sandwich where instead of bread you get naked-people. Plot is that some nasty Americans want to build a nuclear power station in the Dominican Republic, so the locals protest in the only way they know how, rituals and oral cock removal! After a brief montage involving our two leading ladies getting respectively naked and shagging a chap, we get an extended period of PLOT. Largely consisting of the aforementioned deserted town walkthrough, which is cheap and cheerful but also has the greatest thing ever - they encounter a horse and trap passing by them, but there's no-one in the trap! I liked that. Other great moment, was a human sacrifice being, erm, sacrificed and then carried off. And with narry a beat, the funk kicks in and the ritualists strip to a naked dance. Skilled. Hihgly recommended and Sirpa Lane is just ching. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Well here we are with another Joe D'Amato film and does it live down to expectations? Well of course. You have to wonder whether D'Amato was serious about his art of if he is really just extracting the urine. Cashing in on the glut of cannibal films that were around at the time D'Amato chooses to make a cannibal film with no cannibals in it. The closest we get is Papaya performing an oral castration (yes indeed) and some priest who eats a heart after sacrificing some random white bloke. As for the rest it's a mixture of voodoo and soft porn as the cast waste no time in stripping off at every opportunity and romping before wandering around in a daze wondering where a plot might appear from. On top of this is a conceit at having an ecological message - something about protecting the island from the onslaught of western industry. But it's all just an excuse to show lots of lingering shots of topless women and drag it out over 80 odd minutes. If you're an aficionado of this sort of exploitative rubbish (and I'm guilty as charged) then see it by all means. Anyone wanting an enjoyable film give it a wide berth! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I would normally stick up for films if they contain explicit nudity or sex scenes and it was for a reason (at times no matter how small), but alas i cannot stick up for this. Pretty much soft core porn with a cock biting scene and a voodoo cannibal dance. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Smutmaster Joe D'Amato is back in the saddle again with this softcore filled tale of love and murder in the Caribbean. When a nuclear power plant is slated to be built in the Dominican Republic, a group of locals decide to fight back lead by Papaya who uses sex to get information out of her prey before killing them. Not much of a movie about 30 minutes of plot and an hour of softcore sex scenes, does however star sexploitation star Sirpa Lane. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
