Audience Member I have to admit I did not finish this movie and I almost alway finish movies even if they are terrilble. This movie is worst than terrible. The dialog was painful. In one scene all the charactors are speaking in chinese proverbs and in the next ene the same actors were talking like they were from Los Angeles. The movie cannot decide what it wants to be; serious or a silly comedy. I bought this movie out of the 99 cent bin at the local movie rental place and even at that price was cheated. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review don s Keeping in mind that this is a cable miniseries, this isn't too bad. The sets and costumes are sometimes laughably cheap, and the dialogue is out of touch with the time period, but the story holds up well just the same. Nothing original here, but Carradine's presence gives it a boost by making the martial arts credible. Average overall and the three hours seems to fly by. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow this was better than I thought it would be! 3hrs but really great. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Definately in my top five. (December 20, 2010) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Its a nice movie I was just rather disappointed. One of the biggest disappointments is that it was very American for a martial arts movie. Now that is not to say that there is anything wrong with that it just seems out of place. When I think of a martial arts movie I think of Hero or Crouching Tiger Hidden dragon or Fearless. These movies, being that they are foreign are immersed in Asian culture whatever that may be(or so they appear to be from American eyes like mine). This movie had a very American style storyline which makes it unique in its own way I suppose, but like I said earlier it seems out of place. All in all though its an alright movie and is worth watching. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member this is quite nice, not a great movie, the story is simple, but it has some very nice escape and fighting scenes, its visually quite beautiful, I think this makes a good movie for older children Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
