Timid Sam (Nigel Patrick) crunches numbers for a jewelry dealer, but secretly daydreams about nabbing a priceless gem from his employer. After some careful planning, Sam works up the courage to do the heist, but in the process impulsively shoots a cop who catches him. He then jets off to Europe, where he lives the high life. Trudie (Anita Ekberg), however, a more seasoned crook, shadows Sam. All the while private investigator March (Jack Palance) quietly keeps tabs on both parties.
