Chuck Betts (Pauly Shore) and Harold Cantrell (Max Perlich), two dim-witted guys in a small Texas town, rob the local bank. In the process, they find out that there is more to their sleepy hamlet than meets the eye, particularly in regards to greedy businessman Moles Huddenel (Ned Beatty). After getting away with the money, Chuck decides to return it, but that change of plans doesn't go well, especially after he becomes close to beautiful police officer Layla Moanes (Janine Turner).

Audience Member Seeing Pauly Shore trying to do a southern accent is just sad. Funny but sad. The whole movie was a cluster f#!k. Not worth watching again Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty dismal comedy is only made watchable by the charming Janine Turner. The story has reasonable comic potential, about a pair of bumbling bank robbers, Pauly Shore and Max Perlich, who rob a bank, but then things are complicated when Shore falls for the local police officer investigating the robbery, Turner. Shore is not as insufferable as usual since he's not doing his Weasel character, but he's still not a very compelling or funny of actor. You do get Ned Beatty and Stephen Tobolowsky in supporting parts, but that's not enough to save this unfunny comedy either.
