Audience Member An almost classic Hong Kong police drama with a very memorable end. I was just doing some spring cleaning today and came upon this old bootleg DVD I bought almost ten years ago but never took the time to watch and forgot I had. This was the first of many "tragic" HK police dramas I watched when I was a young kid and I particularly remember the music video for the sad theme song sung by Andy Lau. An all star studded cast, yet the two most famous stars; Andy Lau and Tony Leung were rather young and very annoying throughout most of their roles along with some typical HK campy comedic elements that gave the film an uneven tone to a otherwise serious film. Also, the main villain was horribly one dimensional and over acted terribly thoughout. The main strength of the film though is the overall plot, which you could call a tragic morality play telling the story of several cop buddies who decide to secretly keep and split some illegal drug money taken after a major drug bust and their eventual downfall and each with their own tragic endings. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member great trip down memory lane with the famed and fave tigers. gratuitous butt shot - nice buns. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Man, this one is classic, contain all 5 actors, if you've watched this one, you will feel that "Brothers" is just a bullshit. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Thrilled to see all 5 of them act together... but hate to see Tony Leong die... and honestly, this is not a great script... Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This is one good action movie. And most memorable is this movie features one of the toughest baddie. Been outnumbered and injured he still can kill quite afew police. The police who took the gangster's money went on a spending frenzy but when the baddie decided to have it back, that is when all the trouble takes place. In the end Andy Lau finally managed to kill the baddie and shot himself, not going to let the police to nab him. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member what's the best way to ruin a friendship? dirty money! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews
